Tempranillo 100% - Tempranillo variety with which this wine is made, belongs in 80% to the vineyard La Maquinilla, the oldest plot in our estate La Planta; cultivated at 911 meters above sea level on clay-chalky soils with limestone at one meter from the surface, along with 20% of grapes coming from centenary-old vineyards from barren and sandy soils from the area of Burgos province.

ELABORATION AND AGEING

Being the grapes at their optimum ripeness, harvest began on mid- October.
Bunches were harvested in 15 kg’s crates, passed through a selection table and subsequently de-stem- med.
Grape was carried into stainless-steel vats by gravity, and a er macerating for several days at a low temperature, the grapes carried out a slow alcoholic fermentation at a maximum temperature of 27C. Aged 16 months in 60% French and 40% American oak barrels.

Perfect match for red meats, white meats, big and feathered game, roasted or in sauce.
